Surveying
David began his land surveying practice in 1963 in central and northern Nova Scotia. David is licensed to practice as a professional land surveyor in Nova Scotia and Maine, and has extensive experience working for government, private industry, and private landowners. He is able to provide survices that are directly or indirectly concerned with determining or establishing boundaries of land. Our specialties are in the re-establishment of original boundary lines lost or obscured by forest utilization, conservation activities, or the passage of time.
Quarry Services
David has extensive experience in the development and operation of mineral and aggregate reserves. He holds first class Blasters' Certificates in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, prospectors' licenses in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and has diplomas in various business and management courses. David is able to provide management services in all phases of quarry operations, from initial prospecting, through land acquisition, permitting and development, to supervision of production. His specialties are short-term management on contracts, and filling in for managers who are attending training courses or on sick leave.
Technical Writing
David has expertise in writing business and technical reports, human interest articles, and business correspondance. He is a member of the Writer's Federation of Nova Scotia, RWA, and RWAC, and has had articles published in a number of Canadian and American professional magazines and newspapers. David is able to provide technical reports and articles as well as other writing services to small business operators. He can also provide editing services, with text revisions and checks for accuracy and suitability.
